I can ’em in halves!
Yep, soft halves that can be added to crisps, used in muffins or a layer cake and I get a nice plum syrup from the deal!
Plum Halves in Syrup
- 12 lbs plums
- 10 C water
- 3/4-1 C honey
- 3-4 cloves
Directions: prepare canner and set to boil. Combined water, honey and cloves in a smaller pot. Set to boil. Wash plums, halve and remove seeds. Place sliced side down in jar and tightly pack until full. When through, fill jars with hot syrup. Seal and process according to altitude. Makes 7 quarts.
