Humic Mineral’s Toothpaste

Want to get those humic minerals into your kids’ mouth without the mess of powders? Here it is! Original recipe was found with Jerica of sustaincreatandflow.com. I’ve added my own adaptations.

Humic Mineral’s Toothpaste (for children)

  • 1/4 C bentonite clay
  • 1/4 C calcium powder
    • optional replacement: 1/2 C bentonite clay
  • 1 Tbs diatomaceous earth
  • 1 Tbs humic minerals
  • 1 C water
  • 2 cloves
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 Tbs loose-leaf peppermint (optional)
  • 10-15 essential oil peppermint drops (optional)
  • 3-5 stevia extract drops

Directions:

  1. In a glass bowl, combine powders with wooden spoon.
  2. Place 1 C water in a small pot and add cloves, cinnamon stick and tea leaves.
  3. Simmer 15-20 minutes and measure off 6 Tbs
  4. Combine the 6 Tbs hot liquid with powders. Mix well.
  5. Add essential oil and stevia drops to take the edge off the paste’s flavor.
  6. If unhappy with consistency, slowly add more bentonite clay or calcium powder, mixing until happy with finished texture.
  7. Place pre-made toothpaste into a baggie and squeeze into a tube for the kids!
  8. Yep, it’ll be black in color due to the minerals and that is totally fine.
  9. Let the lil’ munchkins use it up!
